No way - I was going to participate so I could get my $250 T-shirt this year.

Was hoping I could meet some of the organizers and talk them into letting me "guide" people on the R1 trail at Windrock - that would be an absolute hoot (boulders the size of your JK, and you're supposed to ride across them).

It'll probably be more like sometime between 9:30 and 10:00 AM Saturday. Will follow-up with details in a couple of days.

250???? What a joke. That is as bad as the Harley Owner Group events. Your pay 20k for a ride. They should have free events for that. I went to Daytona in 07 and they wanted to charge me 20.00 to park and go into the dealership. Everything has become a racket now to make money. Even worst I have to drive 30 mile to go to a Jeep dealership because the one in Decatur closed down.

I'd be much more interested if in addition to the lunch sandwiches and T-shirt, they had clinics with expert instruction on say, recovery techniques or emergency vehicle maintenance. However, the best I can tell you basically get a shirt, a couple of meals, and the park fees covered for your $250. Am I missing something?

I may give a Jamboree a try one of these days, but it won't be for Dusty Lonesome. Maybe, just maybe Windrock - they just better not ride me around for hours on the gravel roads there.
