I've got a 3' K40 antenna; picked it up at the Pilot truckstop in Priceville. Not sure how good it is yet, I got a tuned Cobra 29 from Walcott a couple months ago and haven't had a chance to test it out yet. Wilson makes a 4' flex antenna that I may try out if the K40 doesn't do a good job.
I dont use mine around town. Only on trails. If you want distance, youll have to check out the Ham Radio threads. Problem is, if others in group dont have it, it does you no good.

Did not get to go to Stoney Lonesome OHV park today. The park was closed. May go next weekend.
I guess I have to find a mud hole around town to get my offroad urge out of me....hehe

I have the K40 also. It is a tunable tip. Another member had a SWR meter so we could get it tuned properly for best reception.

Just a Quick Follow-up
Aired up the tires this weekend using the Q-Maxx - it worked flawlessly, and like Denny mentioned, it was fairly fast. I like that it has a brass fitting that you just screw onto your valve stem. You then hit the switch, watch the built-in gauge, shut off, remove fitting, double check pressure with regular air gauge, and if good, move on to the next tire.
I definitely like having the capability to air up on the trail should some exigency require it.
