You a member of Augusta National Golf Club? If so, there are probably a lot of us that would be willing to come down to share what we know if you could get us out for a round on the course.

Default New to the area

Hey everyone!

I just moved to the Fort Gordon area from Baltimore. Id be more than happy to take the Jeep out sometime. Since Im new to the area I have no idea where any trails are, but would like to learn.

The JMA has a weekly 'ice Cream Social" at the Dairey Queen on Washington Rd, Thursdays, 7:00PMish >9:00PMish. Attendance can be sporadic, to over whelming....just don't give up on on bad attendance night.
From there, you can join the Exit 33 group, a sub group, which has about 100-150 acres of wheeling available, for $100.00/yr, or you can do Duramtown Plantation...THOUSANDS + acres, restaurant, repair shop, rentals, pro-shop, EMT, yatayataytayatyataa....for 250.00 per uear. Just be sure to tell the girls at the counter you want the JEEP annual rate at the counter.
The JMA was 20.00/year, but were discussing some rate increases.....not sure about that
Exit 33 was 100.00/year
DP was 250/year

So if you can budget all 3, you've got a heck of a package, the JMA and either of the available packages, and you've still got a heck of a fun package. Join the JMA, and you get a "free sampler" of EXIT 33, one time, all the icecream you can afford, a couple of pick nicks, XMas parade, Toys for tots, and lots of other voulunteer sorta things... without the 33 package for the wheeling, campouts, Low Country Boils, etc.... it can be a bit boring.... but kick in the extra 100 for EXIT 33 and the party just started.
