Default Any NOLA jeepers?

Looking for jeepers and trails in the New Orleans area.
I've only lived here 8 months, and haven't found much trail info for this area. I'm not into muddin, but I would love to find some trails.

I live about 1 hour to your east in Biloxi, MS. There is one place over here that I know of http://www.redcreekoffroad.com/ not actually my cup of tea so I never been out there. Let me know if you find anything, I have yet to meet up with other jeepers to goof off.

Default resources for the Gulf South

Just got my JK in August.... I'm down with some weekend trail action... I've been looking for some legal, (open to the public), easy access off-road trails within an hour or so of Greater New Orleans area, without much luck.

I plan to do some camping/wheeling excursions this winter & fall. Anyway, keep me informed if you come across anything new, I'll do the same.

Here are some resources for the Gulf South:

Off-Road Parks:

CATAHOULA RECREATION - (3-hours north of NOLA)
637 Pine Hill Road
Sicily Island La. 71368

Superlift Off-Road Vehicle Park - (6 Hours North of NOLA)
2100 Mill Creek Road
Hot Springs, Arkansas 71901

4x4 Associations / Clubs

4x4 Specialty Shops:

LightLine of Baton Rouge
http://www.lightlineofla.com

The Mud Hole in Kenner, LA. Their phone number is 504-469-6382: 1710 Airline Drive. I can't seem to find their website (do they have one?)

I'd be up for a road trip somewhere. The only wheeling I've gotten to do around here is the 4x4 expo in Hammond. Check out la4x4 club they have some trips there every now and then.

I've been to Catahoula Recreation (Sicily Island) a hand full of time to race my ATV. But have never been on the trails. That was before I had my Jeep. Just got her in August. I hear they are some pretty good trails from talking to the people comming back off them. They have places to camp there also. The spillway in Laplace has trails also. They are more mud riding trails I think.

Let me know if yall get a ride organized. I'm itchin for a ride.

FYI, make sure you take some fishing gear with you if you go to the spillway. It's not technically ok to off-road there but it is ok to fish so if you were just trying to get to your fishing spot...
