I used to work in McCreary County at American Bag Corp. My wife is from there so I get to off-road when I visit the in-laws. I can verify that there are some nice places to wheel there.

I go right off of the Army base Fort Knox on Hwy 60. Its called checkpoint 37 and is a tank driving range, which is a huge plot of land with some pretty challenging mud holes. PM me if you want and I can go out with you and 4wheel.

Im supposed to be home from Afghanistan in a couple weeks and I have a garage full of stuff toput on. My buddy bought a TJ while were here and we plan on going to Turkey Bay during Thanksgiving weekend. Are there any takers to the idea?

Turkey Bay is great...I grew up about 20 minutes from there. In fact, got my JK stuck there the weekend after I got it. Count on tons of mud, especially on the backside if it has rained much at all. There are some really nice hills, and some great views of the lake.

BTW - count me in as another Kentuckian in the group. I am in Louisville now if anyone is around.

Man, Chromer's ridge was a blast. The good old days, indeed. My gal and I rolled over there up on Pink Rock over the summer and got busted by the Parks Warden (or whatever outfit he was with). He let us off the hook on a trespassing ticket on account of being in the Guard.

I should be up for some holiday wheeling, as long as my leave is approved.
