I am new to SoCal so I have no clue about any of the places you mention. I know, Oceanside, Vista, Carlsbad, San Marcos and Poway and that is about it. Can y'all locals help decifer all the areas for us?

use a little bit of the jeep money and buy a gps and add 2 hours to any estimated driving time if it is over ten miles

Yes I’m back to reality. But it is a bitter sweat for me. The down side is I’m not in Hawaii. The good news is I promised Kim (my wife) I would not spend money on the jeep until after the trip. So I’m ordering a 3.5” lift w/shocks this week and maybe the TRU-Turn in a couple of weeks and drive shaft if it needs them. I’m sure it will.

 

Yes, Casa de Pico is next door to BJ's, the food is outstanding and they have great Margaritas!

Let me know if you guys are interested and I’ll see if I can work something out for parking.
