I should have stopped you to look at the setup but I got side tracked. You have a photo of the camera on the dash?

That's not a guy 33 - that's our favorite ranger Nancy! She gets to drive the trails in a Rubi all day long. I think we all want to have her job.

We're finally home and unpacked. Sorry I only got to meet about half of you, it was hard to work a group that large, especially since I didn't get to meet you at breakfast, and most of you had already left camp before I realized it.

I had a great time with everyone who stayed around to camp (that's always the best part ), it was good to put faces with some names I've been seeing around the forums and finally getting a chance to know you.

Today's run to The Slot was a lot of fun.

Well hats off to ranger Nancy, I bet she was making sure the newbie run was going to be safe.

Did it get alittle cold at camp last night ?

Ranger Nancy was checking up on us to make sure we followed the rules. Expressed some concern about large groups putting a "load" on the "facilities" . Just doing her job, I suppose.

I don't think the overnight temps dropped below about 55*. It was perfect, and the night sky was truly awsome to stare at in the pitch darkness.

Thanks to all who organized this trip and helped make for a trouble-free outing. This was our first trip into the desert and now I'm really looking forward to going back to explore.

we're home and showers - whew!! i see there are a lot of posts already and will have to go back and read through them. off the bat, i just want to thank everyone for joining us on this outstanding run. i think in all, we had 36 JK's show up initially and then had a 3 more show up later on in the evening. as for offtopic and rubimon, sorry for not chiming in towards the end of our drive. as you can guess, my cb took a dump on me again

anyway, i'll try to get pics up asap.

Just got the jeep unloaded and I'm ready to hit the shower.
It was a great time meeting everybody and camping was a blast.
Brittany says hi (Rubimon's daughter) a.k.a. his personal typist.
Glad everyone had a good time.

Okay i had a nice time long way but good to see old friends and met new ones.
here are some piccies.

Rubimons great Doors

Fish in his new Jeep

Moving Location

i am now ready for the next trip i bought a sleeping capsule

This means no more wheeling out and driving home on my own. Ohh and lots more HONEY and BEER
On the way back down the trail i encontered a signt i will not forget which was wheeling through the deep water crossing in the dark with all the lights illuminating the crystal clear water that was so cool.

I then see lights in front of me stopped said hello it was Gunny who had just left work i think he smelled Dougs cigars and the booze wafting through the canyon, he told me the trail had changed quite a bit as the park service had blasted all the obstacles and packed them down.
Thanks for putting the ride together.

Miles driven 480
Avg MPG 20.1
No damage

still eating the pastrami sandwich from siggys and aired up in the dark while eating Sushi
