Default Borrego Run

I just wanted to say Thanks to everyone who helped out on the run today. My family had a lot of fun and it was great getting to put some names and faces together. Hope to see everyone again soon

Didn't take many pictures and couldn't stick around for camping...but here's a shot of the JK's at the trailhead:

Hopefully next time I can stick around long enough to camp and hang out.

BTW Gunny, I saw you driving back down towards Anza, on 79 South...gave you a Jeep wave

Wanted to echo NUCLEAR JK's sentiment. Excellent run, had a great time. Everybody did an excellent job.

If last year was approx 18 jeeps and this year was roughly 36, imagine next year with 72! We'll need to rent the park out!

Can't wait till the next one! I'll get some pics posted soon
We were a Siggy's for a while. We didn't even make it there till close to 9 and still had time to grab a breakfast burrito (I could have survived the whole run on that thing it was so big). I thought we had a lot of people then, man was I surprise to see even more people lined up at the visitors center.

The mentor's certainly deserve special X-Mas presents for the fantastic job they did.

Who had the video camera strapped to their dash? Would be cool to see those videos.

Just got back and wanted to say we had a great time. I'll post pictures below.

Our fun weekend was almost ruined with a scary case of "death wobble" on the freeway coming home. I mean, really scary. I barely got the Jeep off the freeway without hitting a retaining wall. I suspect it was a combination of speed, a rough patch of road that was sort of washboard-like, and the fact that I hadn't reconnected my sway bar. Big mistake.

Again, incident aside, this was a fun little trip and a nice way to get some exposure to the desert landscape. Here are a few of our pics...

And two more... one from last night, and one this bright sunny morning.
