I am hoping to be on pavement by dusk.... or a little earlier... I am heading for Fallbrook by 8pm.

I am sure there will be a group forming for the return. After going up the rock garden, going downhill will be relatively easy. Having the sunlight to see them will be useful. I did this run in February and its not bad.

I just spent the afternoon installing my CB only to find it doesn't work. Not sure what the problem is. CB turns on, but it acts like there is no antenna attached. New antenna and wire. Really old radio. No way to fix this problem before Saturday. Oh well.

make sure the antenna "mount" is well grounded... and NOT the antenna itself.
hell, bring it like it is, i am sure we can figure it out.... its usually something simple...

I'll check to see how well grounded it is with my ohm meter in the morning.

I have a meter but have not tuned it. I should be getting something even untuned. I did play with the tuning knob earlier with no change.
