Yeah, there's a hidden valley north of Moapa Valley. I think "hidden valley" is a popular name for smaller communtities. My hidden valley isn't so hidden anymore, Reno is fast encroaching into our rural area.

I got myself a brand new Bestop Safari top and header bar for $50 from a guy on another forum and took my soft top completely off for now. He's also got a 2 door soft top with tinted widows in a window bag for $300. The only thing he doesn't have are the actualy mounts to the bar.

This showed up on my doorstep...

Since I got it on e-bay "as is", the mounting brackets were missing. Taking it to the shop tomorrow to have the stock Infinity sub pulled and discarded and seeing if they can mount it.

No prob. I'll throw it in my parts pile.

Called MTX support today...they're sending me all brackets and hardware at no cost. Great service!

Are you upgrading the amp as well?

This is a powered sub...amp built in.
I swapped the factory head unit out for a Clarion USB a while ago, trying to bypass an issue I was having with my Infinity system cutting out. That wasn't it, so I got another factory amp off someone here...swapped. Still same prob. So I ended up putting an aftermarket amp under the driver's seat and bypassing the whole Infinity setup. The factory sub died a while ago...so this will be replacement of that unit.

I'll use the amp to power the surrounds now.

All that's left is swapping out the dash and soundbar speakers with new 6 1/2" units...already spec'd and on my watch list.

I looked at a lot of compact setups...this seemed like pretty good stats and so far 2 shops (Best Buy and a local custom audio shop) have both said it's a pretty good unit and will be tons better than the stock infinity sub.

Power Output: 100 Watts RMS @ 4 ohms
THD+N (Distortion) (1 Watt): < 0.25%
Signal-to-Noise Ratio (1 Watt): > -90dB
Frequency Response: 39Hz-150Hz
Dimensions: 15-5/8” x 12-1/8” x 8-5/8”
