I bought some mesh tarp which blocks 60%-70% of sunlight it says. Time for a DIY bikini top! Try to get started on it today, no idea what im doing..but half the fun of it i guess haha

I can't wait to see what you come up with. I was thinking about that too...just with some reinforced eyelets that fasten to the 3 windshield d-rings and then strap back to somewhere on the rollbars. I hate that you need the plastic soft top trim pieces to get any of the aftermarket bikini tops to fit.

 

I have a "trial top" on there now, just too see what holds up and what doesnt in the wind. It was a slapped together one that is just like a "r & d" bikini. So far it seems to work fine, but no highway use.

 

You'll get true testing this week...supposed to hit 40+mph winds tomorrow.

I've got the bestop meshed bikini top and love it. Would suck in a torrential downpour but is great to have on days when the sun is strong but you still want the open air feeling.
