'17 JK Slave Cylinder Bleeding Question

Clutch Slave Cylinder Bleed Screw Cap/Cover in question.
Alternate view.
My Jeep was stolen in Sept. '21 , then finally recovered & returned to me in June '24 \"As Is".
Spent past 4 1/2 months working on re-assembly. Just need to bleed clutch slave before trying to fire it up.
'17 JK clutch slave cylinder bleed. Plastic cap covers bleed screw wrench flats. Does the silver clip need to come out to remove this plastic cap? Various forum posts say the cap can be removed with small flat-blade screw driver, or, turning cap/bleed screw with a wrench. Tried both with minimal force applied, but neither seems correct?
