Death wobble coming from front left tire
Hi all! Proud owner of a 2018 Jeep Wrangler JL 4 Door Unlimited Sahara 4x4. Worked great until yesterday… Took it on the highway and now any time I go above 65 and hit a bump, I get the wobble on the front left. It’s so bad the vehicle feels like it’s going to fall apart. Mechanic thinks steering dampener? Any additional thoughts on the cause?

It is 100% NOT the steering dampner. It is most likely ball joints. Would double-check torque on track bar bolts and inspect those joints as well.
**I really don't know how "mechanics" can always blame this on steering stabilizers that are bad, but it's the biggest effing joke and really pisses me off every time. They simply don't know diddly squat about how solid axle vehicles apparently.

The steering dampener really just covers up small bumps and vibrations caused by something else, some things they can’t cover up, I guess throwing a steering dampener on would be like treating a symptom instead of the cause

First thing I did when I bought my 2017JKU last year was tighten all control arm and track bar bolts. Got one upper ball joint with a BIT of play, but drives great still. Check and tighten all those, and I bet you're fine.
