Default 2010 JKU Sport “build thread”.....

I bought my flame red 2010 JKU Sport with 145k in June 2019. 3.8, 6spd, 3.21s.... hardtop, oem 17s. I was impressed as it’s super clean inside/out.

Previous owner installed:

Mastercraft grab handles
Padded ? armrests
(4) Rancho RS5000s
(4) 255/75/17 Duratracs.
Quadratec front mats
Drop in K&N filter
DV8 Off-road LED taillights

So far I’ve added:

Tint
1.5” hub centric wheel spacers
1.5” Teraflex leveling kit
Bestop Blk. Diamond Bikini top
2.5” Flowmaster muffler/axle-back
Kenwood Double-din
JBL 6.5”s

Current future plans are 295/70/17s and possibly aftermarket 17s. I also want to upgrade the headlights and fog lights to Quadratec LED units. Eventually I’d like to add a 2.5”-3” kit.... fenders.... bumpers.... etc. Ya know?!? The usual.... 😂

June 2019 dealership

Stock 3.8

2010 JKU interior

1.5” hub centric spacers

Fresh polish and wax!

Custom 2.5” axle back

Topless

Teraflex 1.5” kit

Teraflex 1.5” installed

Well... I did it. Ordered tires/wheels from DTD. They arrived yesterday (3) and today (1).... got them
on their Cyber Monday sale!

Went with Yokohama Geolander MTs in 295/70/17s and 17x8.5” Vision Manx in matte black.

They look great! I wasn’t able to find many “good” pics of the Vision Manx so I was alittle nervous. But, I’m very happy with the way the package looks.

Geolanders are very beefy.... nice deep tread and 33.5”x12”. Can’t wait to get them mounted up after work. Hopefully tomorrow!

Nice looking jeep there! Welcome to the forum. I see you asking RK about their stuff in that other thread. I think the more you read up here, specifically in the modified section, you'll see most of us aren't too thrilled with their product or support. Browsing through the most recent modified posts is usually a good exercise, then start asking away with any questions you have. You're going to enjoy that jeep for years and years!

Thanks!!!! Other thread? RK stuff...? I’m looking forward to gaining more JK knowledge. I’m used to full-size GM rigs and Mustangs too.

That is really strange....that post somehow got on the wrong thread. I swear I've seen that happen from time to time.

You have a good lookin jeep though too! What kind of muffler is that? Looks a bit like my Thrush Welded.

All good.... 👍🏻

Thanks. I’m not sure on muffler brand!?! Looked fairly new, but I removed it from my Suburban when I bought it. Knock off 2 chamber.... no markings of any kind!?!

Thanks! Not sure on brand... as it came off my 01’ Suburban when I bought it. Looks like a knock off 2 chamber. No markings anywhere on it.

295/70/17 Yokohama Geolanders and 17x8.5 Vision Manx installed. So far I’m very impressed with both. The finish and quality of the wheels seems very nice. The Geolanders are fairly quiet for how aggressive they are. Very squared off look and deep tread @ 20/32. No louder than the smaller Duratracs. All around very happy with the package!

Now time to do something about that odd spare tire/wheel!!!
