Map lights won't turn off on rear-view mirror
Has anyone had this happen. Not sure when it started, a couple days ago but the switches underneath do nothing. I didn't notice if they were on when I got in this morning but at least while driving they're on all the time.
How can I get them to turn off???

You didn't install LEDs in the dome/cabin lights did you?

I have a '13 as well. For some reason, the CANbus on the '13 does not like to play nice with LED's in the center overhead light. I had the exact same results long ago. My friends with '14s had zero issues at all. For me, it was specifically the center light. For some reason, the rear cargo light was fine with LEDs, but I couldn't stand the mismatched lighting.

i just reverted back to the factory. never could resolve the map light issue. I think if you need more light, it might be better to add additional LEDs to the soundbar that you can turn on separately. I've seen a few people do this over the years and it can turn out nicely.

I thought that I was going mad...
Yeah, I've just bought a 2013 JKU. The standard bulbs weren't doing it for me, so I put in some LEDs and the mirror map lights are staying on for me too. Some companies sell a kit of led lights specifically for JKs and I'm wondering if they cause the same thing to happen

Yeah, so, after buying some $20 AUD LED globes to replace the $3 AUD for a bag of 10 LEDs that I had put in originally I was still having the same problem, so I went ahead and just disconnected the rear view mirror lights. I really didn't see any value in having them, and driving at night with them on was actually dangerous. The reflection of my legs on the windscreen made it difficult to see. Some times things are just too difficult to deal with

I own a '13 JKU and just recently made the change to interior LED's. Since then, the map lights on the rear-view stay on. Doing some research, I found this thread on JK Forum that appears to be a couple years old and wanted to see if anyone has found a solution other that turning the map lights off completely? Perhaps Jeep has an answer?
