Late last night I finished my back up camera install. I installed a camera on the stock tire mount.

I then ran the wires to the passenger backup light and spliced it in.

Continuing down the passenger side and grounded the monitor in the passenger foot well I ran the monitor wires up the a piller. I removed the vanity mirror and ran the wire to the mirror location.

I then tested the whole system.

I am happy with the result. I now have my Rydeen MV411S and Rydeen Hd camera and can see behind me!

Default Finally Joined the 35 club!

So its been a little while since I posted. I have added Poison Spyder Crusher Fender flares (Linex'd) and 35" Goodyear MT/R Kevlar tires on AEV Pintlers in Argent.

Still need to trim the pinch seam and rock rail but trying to figure out how to remove that plastic end cap in a way that I will be able to reuse it. Advise is appreciated.

Now I need to get dirty

Ok during daylight hours resolution is great. Like any camera the lack of light is an issue. If you add any sort of rear lighting this will work much better.

In the picture I am in the same basic spot as my fist post but as you can see it is pitch black out and my stock backup lights are not cutting it.

What's the cost for something like this? You could add some LED back ups

Look on EBay for Rydeen I got the camera for $67 and the mirror for $179. You can get the two as one unit just at the time I could not find it stating it was an HD camera. I did not want a SD camera.

I plan to add rear lighting, but that will be another paycheck. Another post.

When you look know this. The model numbers have meaning. Any model number with 3 in it is a 3.5 inch screen and 4 would be 4 inch screen (HD format). T at the end has temp and compass built in, S means no temp or compass. Lastly the mount to your windshield for a jeep would be 11, 31 is for other brand cars it has the ability to connect to other brand windshields. Like in my first post look for the same Rydeen mirror MV411S there is no need for compass and temp the JK come with those features.

How this helps.
