Trading in a Land Rover for a JK.
Hello, everyone.
My name is Richard, and I'm a reformed Land Rover owner.
I'm currently awaiting the arrival of a Rescue Green (yup, I complained) 2-dr. JK from Ohio. Ordered early February, I may get to see it by the summer if I'm lucky.
Already learned a huge amount of information so far just by lurking. This is a truly informative place.
Thanks for having me.
Rich

Thanks, guys. I'm glad I'm not the only reformed Rover owner here.
I love my Kalahari, but with every trip to the shop costing "one thousand dollars," and the seals leaking constantly... not to mention that fact that all Land Rovers are starting to look like mini-vans
I'm just not a hard-core Landie owner anymore. At one point I owned a Freelander (mistake) and this beast, and was considering a "New Defender" when it arrived in North America.
Turns out the myth of the "New Defender" for North America is a lie that the dealers have been perpetuating for the last 5-6 years... there ain't one coming anytime soon. So, after having the dealer lie to me for three years about the Defender, and having the vehicle hemorrhage oil, causing me to hemorrhage cash, it's time to cut my losses and amputate.
And I've wanted a Jeep since I was ten.
Again, thanks for having me here!

Hi,
I bought my JK because of the exact problem drrich described. My D90 spends more time with my mechanic than with me. I haven't sold it yet because I want to take one last trip with both the D90 and the Rubi, and see how they compare on the trail.
