My opinion is a couple thousands pounds man.... But I live in the mountains with steep grades and have a four door but same motor I suppose... Say up to 4K but I could surely not do that in CO

Do not exceed the maximum towing rating of your vehicle. With the 2 door I think that would be 2000 or 2500 lbs. (check the manual)

Keep in mind that's the trailer and all the gear such as water, fuel, food, etc.--not just the weight of the trailer.

Good chart.

OP, note the axle gearing factor into total towing capacity. It could be as low as 1000lbs *total* trailer and gear.

What gearing do you have? For the 2 door, the actual practical safe limit will be reduced compared to the 4 door due to the reduced wheel base and reduced vehicle weight. If you are anywhere up near 2500 pounds you will certainly want trailer brakes. I've towed 5000 pounds with my 2012 4 door manual trans with 3.73 rear. However, you can't compare mine with yours due to the short wheel base. My gut feel is that I would not want to exceed 3000 pounds in the 2-door. Did I mention that brakes are critical? You also would want a friction anti away thing. They only cost around $50. Your 2012 will likely not have the built in anti-sway unless you got it with the MAX tow package. (Now anti sway is standard, it wasn't in 2012).
