Default So Cal JKU newbie

Just recently bought a 09 JKU sahara. May the addiction begin!!! Lol. The previous owner already did a few mods ( Afe intake, banks exhaust, bilstein shocks)

Im Looking at suspension lift and black rims next.. Any suggestions? Any other mods that is a must?

Welcome to JKF.

If you plan on doing any trail rides, you gonna need a winch and cb for starters. What type of lift kit were you looking into?

I'm looking into a 3-4 inch OME or teraflex with 33" . The jeep is my commuter so I have too keep the gas mileage reasonable.

I have a cobra 29 Lx cb already so thts good for starts. As far as a winch I'm looking at a 8,000 - 10,000 pound winch since the rule of thumb is twice the weight of my vehicle.. Correct?

My Jeep is also a commuter so I totally understand. I have a Pro Comp lift and like it, but a few of my buddies run teraflex setups and they are super happy with them. If you go above 33" tires, gas milage will def decrease significantly.

Cobra 29 is a solid unit. 8-10k winch should be solid. Smittybilt (XRC8) and Warn (XD9000) are awesome winches, and they have a number of others as well (depending on your budget).

Good luck with everything!
