Runaway Rick
Hello all, this my 1st encounter w/ the forum/ group.
I'm a NAVY vet, honorable discharge in 1975
Am babying along my 2012 Jeep Wrangler Sport... love her !
I've also a teardrop, 'Runaway' trailer for camping.... hence the name.
The human years are taking their toll, so accessories to help the aging
body are my primary interests. I've been stymied by a couple attempted
add ons, but will hopefully get to a resolve in future posts.
This being 4/4/21... have had my 1st of 2 Covid shots... next in 3 weeks...
Intend to get out again after that to visit family & some final bucket list travels.

Weclome to JKF Rick! Hopefully you can get back out soon and cross some of those things off your travel list. I've always liked the teardrop trailers. Basic, but yet bout all you need to get out an about....and light enough to not be a major drag (pun intended ). I built a little overlander'ish trailer with a RTT on it, and it's definitely a little work to get "camp" set up. I'm all for anything that gets people out and away from the urban areas. Lots of good info here should you need help with anything or what opinions. Pretty friendly group of ladies and gents.

Welcome to JKF... Thanks for your Service.. Take your time on Modifications.. Being a VET, I'm confident you have a trailer that is within the tow specs for your Sport. Ask all the questions you have; the forum members here have mucho knowledge and will gladly offer up opinions too. BTW.. see the post today on getting a Navy Veterans sticky for your avatar.

Rick, welcome. A man from my era. I have "served" in two countries militaries (Canada and New Zealand). NZ drafted me in 1973 for Vietnam but kicked me out as the war for them was ending followed by US a year later. So not much time there and I was a Commissioned Officer in Canada Air Reserve.
Back to the old body thing - first thing I can think of for you if you have an auto is that bolt on footrest for a dead pedal. Have it in both my Audi's and soon to go in my Jeep. I believe it is under $40 and does bolt in in a few minutes. Quadratec I think has them and they sponsor this forum.
