Picked it up last night
I've had a black KJ Renegade for a little while, but ever since I saw the first print ad for the JK, I wanted it in the worst way. I signed up for the forum about a week ago when I pulled the trigger (forums are the best way to learn about a vehicle), and I just picked it up last night.
I have a little work to do understanding what I have on this and what I'm going to do. It was a special package ordered by the dealer and I made an offer on it while it was on route to the dealer. It had the towing package (a Must for me) and leather (sorry hard-core folks, but outside of play time, I'll be driving it to work every day), but they told me it just had the standard Sahara radio. It also ended up coming with the Nav system. I've never had (or wanted) a GPS, but the bluetooth is nice.

Still stock, but at least it can breathe with the top off. That's my dog Lilly in the back.
My daughter calls it "Night Train".

Congrats on the purchase. It appears to be Lab approved so you're good to go
My GPS gets little use around town local but when I do road trips I really like it. Play around with the menus a bit and it will show different things on the maps. I like seeing gas stations when I'm traveling.
This BEST feature of the MyGig, IMO is the hard drive. Rip all your favorite cd's straight to the harddrive and you don't have to worry about leaving them in the Jeep.

Thanks for the well wishes. I can't believe how much I like tooling around in this. Of all the things I've driven, this is top two. Way back in '85, I had a guard's-red Porche 911 Targa and that thing was too much fun on the roads. But this is so much more fun is so many other ways. Plus, that red Porche was also high on the 'pain is the A$$' scale. People don't wave at you in a car like that. They flip you off, or yell "nice car a$$hole!".
I'll be on old logging trails & such in a couple of weeks. I'd like to get completely off road before the snow flies, but so far, my emails to wheeling clubs in Minnesota have not been returned. I'm hoping that the clubs I've found are not just abandoned ghost sites on the web.

First time towing the boat. The weather was terrible, but towing was good and the boating ended up being just what the Dr. ordered. That little blue jet boat does almost 60 and it gets there in a hurry.
