Obligatory newbie intro - Pasadena, MD
OK, I just registered on here the other day and I guess this is the best place to do posting practice.
I only had a few Jeep experiences over the years and didn't care for them at first. A former GF had a YJ with a flappy top and half doors. I hated it. My wife and I did a u-drive it Jeep tour in Denali NP in Alaska and it was great. Bouncing around in the mud out on the tundra was a highlight of our honeymoon.....yes, honeymoon. Last September we did a 17 day West vacation and spent a day roaming Moab in a rental 2dr Rubicon. That was the hook. I thought about nothing but Jeeps since then. Started researching, lurking, virtual building, and oogling the dealerships. My F150 was getting towards 100k and we were ready for a change. My wife was hung up on Cosmos blue after our rental on vacation...which was a Grabber Blue 2011 Mustang convertible. Virtually the same color.
So..... enuf rambling. I've jumped ash-deep into a Jeep as of last weekend when we purchased pretty much the LAST Cosmos Blue JKU Sport hardtop on the east coast. Mods to come....slowly.
(Now I will attempt a photo.)
10 min later > OK...maybe not.
