Cold as heck outside, but my holiday gift to you was to go outside just now and look at mine. I have a '13 so it's not exactly the same, but I believe that would go to the same spot as mine. my metal line transitions to a rubber hose after about 18", and that rubber hose runs to the spot where your arrow is above....but there is bigger connector that snaps in place on that white nipple and this particular hose is just something that then plugs into the connector.

Looking up towards the filler neck you can see my metal line converts to different material here....so that must just have been an updated thing over the years -



and that line ends at this connector at the top rear of the tank (where you're arrow is in the previous post) -
