No longer a lurker...
Hey ya'll,
Just thought I'd stop and say hi. I found this forum a while ago and though I belong to other Jeep forums, I've only lurked here and never signed up.
Live in Charlotte, NC, have had 5-6 Jeeps plus 3 that I have bought for my daughter and wife. I got away from the Jeep brand myself and couldn't take it any longer so I'm back in a 2014 Rubicon Unlimited and love it.
I had bought my wife a 2008 JKU when they came out, painted it pepto bismal pink, lift, tires and stuff and even with 5.13 gears, never liked the power or the way the top clipped on the side surrounds above the doors. When I took a look at the new (2012+) JKU's and realized they had the better engine and top design, I signed up. I was thrilled, in fact, I had ordered a ton of stuff on the phone before I left the Jeep dealership…lol.
I love my Jeep and though I love off-roading, I hate mud… you know the kind, the kind you get stuck in and after you've pressure washed the bottom of your Jeep for 3 days, you still find chunks falling out of the frame a year later.
So just wanted to say hello and hope I can give back what I've gotten from this forum.
Mark
