Default Newbie, just saying hi

Been reading the forum for the last couple of months, thought I'd better say hello and introduce myself. Got my JK 2 months ago (previously had a TJ - but saw the light!) I know, its another rescue green unlimited. Not many mods, just 2.5" BB lift, pro-comp 8069's with 33" Hankook's, U.S licence plate bracket.
All important DRILLED MIRRORS! (courtesy of reading forum), JK stickers and painted centre console and dash vents. Daily driver so can't go as extreme as some of the jeeps in the forum.
Oh yeah, forgot to mention its a UK DIESEL! Sorry to upset any gas-guzzlers.
Price of fuel over here, you'll understand why we need diesel's.
Look forward to continued membership....

Thats cool man welcome to the forum. Did you paint the interior to match the exterior or is that an option over there in the UK?

Thanks for the welcome. Yeah I pulled out the centre console and sprayed with rattle cans. I'd seen it done on a previous thread and thought it looked good. The only option on the English jeeps is steering wheel on the wrong side!! What can I say...we're crazy over here.

Thank you, and welcome!

I see they left the E-Brake and Transfer case shift in the same location. Did they swap the turn signal and wiper levers? When I drove right hand steers, having the turn signal and wipers swapped drove me nuts. Also driving a manual where the gears get higher as the shifter moves towards you takes some getting used to. After about two weeks I was good to go.

Nice looking rig. Welcome aboard.

Hi, Mines a manual 6 speed diesel but have just checked in the UK brochure and they list the diesel auto as a 5 speed. Hope this helps. Cheers.

The lp location on Euro spec jeeps is hanging down in the middle of the rear bumper. A great place to stick it on a 4x4! So I cut the lower part off the rear bumper and re-located with U.S bracket. This is sooooooo much better! Cheers.

Hi, turn signals left side of steering wheel, wipers right hand side. Can't remember what side the U.S ones are. Did rent a jeep on trip to Vegas in January. Cheers.
