I was born in Kempton Park, but I grew up in Benoni.
My parents used to have a small cottage at Hartebeespoort Dam when I was a kid. i only remember a few things about it, but the one thing that is clear as a bell was hearing the lions at the park across the dam every night before bed - it used to scare the beJesus out of me I seriosuly thought they were right outside the window.
Once again - welcome to the forum. You know once you get your Jeep everyone is going to see some great pics of it in exotic places. just be prepared.

I actually live right across a lion and cheetah breeding facility! So we have that often!!!
If someone can explain to me how to post pics i'll be happy to post some of my other 2 bakkies (pick-ups) as we dutchman call them!
I have 2 Nissan Safari's one is an overlanding/ weekend play pick-up and the other i'm building into a Australian Outback Challange Pick-Up!
Thanx again for the warm welcome!
Heve a good one!

Sun Burst Orange
Hey y'all!
Had a look at the Sun Burst Orange color Jeep Wrangler X today, and omg what a sweet loking color!!!
Dont know how practical it would be for off roading though?
I'm still going to stick to my original order Stone White!
Please could someone help me understand the back spacing issue with regards fitting bigger wheels?
I'm a South African and the whole imperial thing confuses me hectic!
With regards to the bigger wheels, I'm considering 35's with a 1inch body lift as well as a 3.5inch Rough Country suspension upgrade, this in theory should accomodate 35's with ease?
BUT NOW?
On the Project-JK site they recomend fitting a wheel with a 4.75 backspacing?
Is this inches or mm???
Plus could one fit a 10J rim with a 35-13.5 Tyre to the Jeep?
I've had a look around for some sweet front bumpers and rear bars together with rock sliders? There is a company called LOD Signature Series? Are their kit worth while?
I'm gunna need importing to SA so i need to be dead sure before i make a call!!
Gotto go to graft now!
See y'all later!

Hello RasSafari, welcome to the forum and good luck with your search. I have the 6-speed CRD and it is an absolute pleasure. Diesel consumption is minimal and the engine has more than enough grunt. And with our wide open spaces, it will get you there quickly...
