Hello my name is Sage and I'm 24 years old. Previously had a 1984 CJ-7 and more recently a 2000 XJ. Just picked up this JK yesterday and figured I'd join a JK forum! Since this pic was taken Ive been in the process of removing all chrome pieces and first upgrades will be replacing the ugly tube bumpers it came with! The jeep came with a small lift, 35's, K&N air filter, and an exhaust system. I have some decent plans for this Jeep and looking forward to some great times with it

 

Welcome . I think dechroming is a good idea.

 

Ya the chrome is hideous but easily removed. Looking to add front and rear steel bumpers asap. First time with a JK though and I love this thing already

Sounds a good plan changing those shiny colors. Are you going to do the wheels too?

 

I will be plastidipping them black along with the grill. Also will probably plastidip the whole exterior when my hvlp spray gun arrives. Cheap way to protect from tree branches and I love the matte finish look. Haven't decided on color yet though
