From Dallas, TX. I recently purchased a 2 dr, white, 3 piece hardtop Rubicon. Love it! No big plans for it. When the factory tires are worn out may put a small lift and larger tires, about it (I say that now).

Congrats, I somewhat regret not getting a rubicon, mainly for the lockers and ESD. I have a friend with a rubicon and it come in very handy on the trails. Have fun with it.

My last Jeep was a Sahara. Always regretting not getting the Rubicon. So made sure I corrected that when I purchased my last Jeep. With that said have only used the lockers once (on three outings) and it was to climb a steep hill that the jeeps in front of me were struggling to get up (loss of tractioin). I locked my back and left the front unlocked for better steering. Went up the hill like I was on pavement!

Not rubbing it in, just saying. : )

Yeah, my friend had pretty much the same experience. The lockers made a huge difference when uphill traction become an issue.

Congrats and welcome to the forum. A stock Rubi can get you into a lot of places and trouble . I know my 05 LJ Rubi I bought new was plenty of fun before mods. I almost rolled is first day "testing" lockers

From a fellow North Texan and former City of Coppell employee....welcome to the Jeep family!

May or may not have seen my rig running around Coppell for a couple years until about October last year when I came to work where I currently am.

If you ever want to go wheeling, hit me up. I don't know everything there is to know about Jeeps and I'm certainly no ASE mechanic, but if you ever need a hand with wrenching, let me know. Always down to help where I can.

I just upgraded from a 99 TJ to a 2014 2Dr Rubicon and have no regrets! My daughter and I went wheeling over T-Day & I scared the he k out of her. My first hill climb as an old nemiss I could never get up in my TJ. In 2 wheel drive, the new Rubicon made it further than the old TJ. I then locked both front & rear and was amazed how she pulled through the remainder of the hill climb from a dead stop!

Mods so far: LoD front midwidth with Zeon 8s, front 18 coils from 2013 Rubicon 4dr for leveling, blackout grill, antenna & Jeep logo mods. Looking forward to a new rear bumper next! Enjoy it & drive the hell out of it!
