New from NYC - 2013 JKUR
Hello everyone! I'm semi-new to the Jeep world and the forum. My fiancee bought his first JKU in January and we both loved it so much I decided to get a '13 JKUR a week ago. I've already learned a ton from the forum and I'm looking forward to learning more and modding my Jeep. We currently go wheeling at RC and on the beach in Long Island. If anyone can recommend some more great places near New York City and Long Island it would be appreciated

I'll be there on the 27th for the Women's Ride. I would have gone this weekend but we have a large paintball gathering planned up in Brewster, NY. However if they're still predicting rain come Thursday it might be cancelled. If it's cancelled I might have to come this weekend

Welcome fellow New Yorker!
No place on Long Island to wheel anymore. Hasn't been for years except the hunting access roads on DEC property in the Pines. Unfortunately that too got shut down last year after the police discovered a few bodies back there.
Only places left are illegal and they have been cracking down hard on them over the last year so I consider them as options. Besides, there is only so much fun you can ring out of a featureless sand lot.
Your best bet it to head to NJ and CT for some close to home spots.
