Hello All- I am located in Norcal /bay area & Mi Wuk Village CA on the weekends- after years of contemplation watching others enjoy this vehicle -- I broke down and recently bought a used Jeep JK Unlimited Sahara 4X4 in rescue green --prior to my decision I checked out a few 2 drs -- Rubi's etc -- prices in this area are inflated -- and I have 2 kids and 2 large dogs that I did not want to leave out of the fun so went with 4dr-- I actually also drove a 13 rubi unlimited that was a automatic tranny -- I liked it however the one I drove was 40K$ and at that price I would be bubble wrapping it before hitting the trail which is just wrong-- ran onto a 07 Rescue Green Sahara Unlimited already lifted and in excellent shape -- after driving a 05 2dr --this Jeep -- I had thought -- drove awesome-- I liked everything about it -- it just felt right-- I am now hearing horror stories about this year burning oil- leaking freedom tops-- among other items I just put down a JP magazine hammering the 07 and recommending not to buy this year-- the Jeep starts, idles, handles & drives just awesome-- so far--any words of wisdom from veterans of this year would be great-- I am at the point where if this engine goes I am already looking at a replacement option-- We have not yet hit the trails however will soon so it will get shakin up and put to the test -- happy to hear your feedback and info -- I bought this Jeep to drive-- not store in the driveway --
