New to Modified Jeeps/Off-Roading
Hello,
I am new to the world of modified Jeeps and off-roading — and I am interested in learning more from others. I own a blue 2015 Jeep Wrangler 2dr Sport with about 160,000 kilometers on it. Nothing fancy, I know, but it was a Christmas/birthday present from my mother after she bought a new, ‘hot pink’ Jeep. A free used Jeep is still a Jeep, right? LOL.
This year I had a MetalCloak JK Wrangler 2.5” True Dual Rate Lift Kit with RockSport Long Travel Shocks installed, upgraded my tires from Wrangler Duratrac 255/70/R17 to 285/70/R17 with aftermarket rims. Right now it is almost exclusively a daily commuter to work, but I am interested in maybe doing some light to moderate off-roading in the near future and I am always looking for advice.
Thanks

Welcome to JKF.. Good group here and many are Off Road runners.. They should have much to offer.. I'll jump in ..investigate a club in your area. Start with mild trails, from your info, you might not have Limited Slip Differential in the rear. Jeeps are very capable stock. W/out a winch get a good recovery rope & shovel. ( I have a H.B. Freight 12v air compressor that will slowly air back up the tires should I air down). I'm not "hard core" just like the dirt trails not rocks. Several Utube vid's are around that address starting to "Off Road" they would be good to watch. My last advise: Do NOT Go Out Alone..
