This will be my second jeep, although my previous was just a Patriot. I came out of a 2001 Camaro to a 2011 Patriot, then back to a 2013 Camaro SS/RS about 6 months ago; but I am tired of not being able to take my woofer anywhere, so I figured I'd go back to a Jeep and wanted to do it right.

Ordered a Black Rubicon X. Now, I just have to wait 8 or so weeks for the order to come in. I am not, yet, a hardcore off-roader, but this Jeep will not be used as a mall crawler either.

Sidenote: Thanks to the mods/admins for getting my account here squared away.

Thanks guys! I spent about 4 hours today doing some off-roading in a local spot here in Lake Mary I learned of from someone else on this forum. This thing is so incredibly capable, I had no problem going anywhere with it, although these trails are pretty tame compared to some others, but for a beginner like myself, safe and fun!!!

I loved my Camaro, but I love my dog more, and now she can go with me everywhere, easily.

Welcome and good man to bust out the Jeep again!

Don't forget the buddy system when out playing...anything can happen and its always nice to share the pain/stuck :-)

Thanks! And that sounds like sage advice. I took it real easy today, no real inclines and stayed out of mud, but all the same you are right, I need to find some experienced people to learn from and run safe with.

This thing is truly amazing! Only thing I plan to do is a light bar and a winch. Otherwise I think it is perfect as-is.
