Greetings from the city of brotherly violence aka Philadelphia PA.
Just purchased my first ever Jeep Wrangler. Previously had a older Cherokee can't remember the year though, so not a complete rookie. Previously owned 2 subarus, 1 is an older forester which is my daily beater for work. The second was a 08' Impreza STi. Which was heavily modded and basically a gocart on crack. I had a lot of fun with it but was time to move onto a new toy, so bye bye Sti, Hello Jeep. I picked up a billet silver 16' JKU /freedom edition / Oscar Mike edition / everything but a beer dispenser edition. These things have more editions and packages then I thought possible, but that's the beauty of options and desires. My plans are simple for it, enjoy it. I'm trying to tell myself that I won't be modding it at all, but that never happens, I'm too into customization. But, I'm trying to not get carried away. I plan on exploring its potential, but nothing extreme. Going to take some time to learn and understand the handling and characteristics of my new baby, definitely night and day going from lowered and higher hp. Still crazy how 480whp started feeling slow, idk. Chose a automatic for my jeep due to the simple fact I'm just tired of clutches and shiftin, plus my GF can't drive a stick and I have no interest in teaching.
I have previously been been in multiple forums for previous vehicles and will do my best to a tully search before asking for the millionth time. But any "newb" information that may be extremely important feel free to send a link or email me. I have some learning to do so.... I'll post some pics when I can.
Anyways, just a quick intro and hello, back to acting like I'm working. Tyys

Welcome from another Philly member. Make sure you sign up for Rausch Creek's 101 course so you become familiar with the Jeep's abilities in stock form. You'll be pleasantly surprised.

There's Wharton State Park across the bridge. Easy trails (sand) with water/mud. There's Rausch Creek in Tremont and Reading Anthracite outdoor park. Those two will be mainly rock crawling.
