Well if it's from where I think it is, I believe it's the term used in aviation where pilots request ATC services and handoffs during a VFR flight. Am I close? Lol Sweet I'll check that group out! As far as the bumper goes, I have had it for 4 days now so if I was to sell it, it would go for 1200-1250. It's in the same perfect condition as when I got it, it's assembled, and there isn't a tax ($65-$75) or shipping charge ($175-$250). I'd still lose the installation cost as well. If I don't sell it, I'll save it for when I lift my rig so it doesn't rake as bad.
It looks like a nice bumper. I'm still debating between the AEV or the ARB deluxe. I'm waiting until spring to purchase and install. They salt the roads like crazy here and steel doesn't play well with salt and moisture.

Yes, that is exactly what it is. Finally someone gets it. Are you involved with aviation? It looks like a nice bumper. I'm still debating between the AEV or the ARB deluxe. I'd highly recommend the AEV bumper. Even if you're not buying it from me, I can't begin to describe the quality and heavy-duty, aggressive look that AEV has successfully incorporated into their product. My buying point was the fact that the AEV bumper installed easily, has a large and successful company with great support if needed, has an AEV rear bumper to match, and if you own an AEV product, you are invited on their customer tours which happen on some pretty high profile trails. I am also planning to get the AEV hood and 2.5 lift. I'll probably be taking my bumper off until then. And you are absolutely right about the salt thing. Fortunately it hasn't been exposed to salt yet since its been garaged for the last couple of days. I'll need to take it off tomorrow though to make sure I don't expose it to the salty roads with this storm that's supposedly rolling through.

Woo! Haha my big boy job is being a flight instructor and corporate pilot. How about yourself?

I am wrapping up my Commercial at the moment. Most likely moving into CFI next. I'm waiting to get picked up by the FAA to work as a controller but that's such a long wait.
I work at Dulles at the moment.

And outstanding! Where do you flight train at? The commercial check ride will be a breeze as I'm sure you're aware. It's mostly new oral exam concepts and examiners love talking about that constant speed prop! I'd recommend starting the CFI as soon as you're done with the CPL since all the information is fresh. And I've heard that the ATC wait can be brutal. Had a buddy get picked up in a couple months and another who took two years. All depends on the demand though. Best of luck in the hiring process!
