Hello All,
I’m new to the forum.
Having my current JK since Feb 2015, it is a 2014 Sahara model.
Earlier I had a 2005 TJ, but when I realized that I was already the 6[SUP]th[/SUP] (7[SUP]th[/SUP] ?) owner and it gave me more and more trouble (and also was a bit weak on sand), I sold it.
Living in the United Arab Emirates means driving in the desert (90%) or in the mountains (10%).
Yes, we have mountains on the border with Oman, highest peak is about 1900 meter.
I am a member in a local off-road club: DO – Dubai Offroaders with 2000+ members and we have weekly outings on the sand, sometimes a bit longer drives as well (2-3 days).
Started to do a few modifications on my JK:
  • AFE cold air intake
  • Rugged Ridge cat back exhaust
  • Rugged Ridge Sherpa roof-rack
  • Off-road lights (they come handy when driving after sunset in the dunes)
  • AEV 17/7.5 rims and Cooper Discoverer AT3 tires (285/70/R17), and the next one
  • AEV 2.5’’ Dual Sport lift kit (shipment will start from US any day now)
The nickname of my car is: Sergej Dudkin Click image for larger version

Thanks! I thought it will nicely blend in into the desert scene. And we really have such sand color here in some areas.

Thanks, I have read a lot of positive comments about this kit. The local dealer is selling it like hot cake although the kit is not cheap.

Welcome to the forum from Eastern NC. You will love the AEV lift. I have a 2 1/2" Skyjacker lift on my 2014 JKU (was on it when I bought it). A friend has the 2 1/2" AEV on his 2014 JKU and his drives and rides sooooooo much better.

Very nice looking Jeep....tastefully modded.
I too run an AFe filter but know that it will allow fine particles of sand and dust through the filter. Ensure you're also using a pre-filter in tandem. It won't prevent all particles but will reduce it nonetheless. Cheap insurance if you don't already have it.

Pre-Filters aFe Power
