Default New JK

Hey all, new JK owner here. I traded in my 2006 TJ SE for an 08 X.

I got a great deal on the trade in, and got everything that I could've wanted on the JK, for not too much more money per month. It helped that I only had 8300 miles on the TJ, and it looked like it just came out of the box (the only upside to travelling most of the past two years-it kept me from putting a lot of miles on the TJ).

My JK is Rock Red, with the Freedom Top, the "S" package, and the MOPAR Black appearance group. I've already added a bracketron universal mount (thanks to some of the instructions that I've read on here-the instructions that came with it were written for an 07, and apparently the dash above the stereo comes off differently than the 08).

Take it easy-

Steve

Thanks, MommaT,

I'm loving it, and though I know you don't buy a Jeep for mileage, that extra 5mpg definitely helped me to decide to go with an 08. (And it's my DD too).

I do have a question-I see a lot of threads where people talk about when their Jeep was built-is there some way to tell that?

Thanks, and I always wave-

Steve

This is a great site! I've been going through the write-ups, trying to see which ones I'm confident enough in my abilities to do.

I did drill my mirrors, and am seriously eyeballing the grill mod and marker light mod.

Take it easy-

Sorry Steve, didnt see your question right away. Try looking on the sticker on the door jam. It should tell you build date, mine is Dec 2007 (cant remember the exact day right now, have to go and look again). Enjoy!!!
