I am one of the few who do the "Jeep Wave". Passed two yesterday at low speed and they didn't return the wave (2 door Wranglers).

 

Lets hope its cheaper than racing motorcycles... hasnt been so far... ha.
Cant wait to get dirty with a buddy, the solo ride puckered the butthole a little.

This is my first Jeep also. I was used to the wave whilst riding a street bike... Got the Jeep and continued the wave! I have experienced about 60/40 on other folks waving back.

Clay I see that you are retired a Chief. Love it. My grand dad was Chief over in Gardendale forever ago. I kinda want in on the action...

Anyone know why the closed down deerfoot from legally riding back there? Other than kids burning cars down by the bridge? Went a while back and no gate by deerfoot, now a huge gate. Just curious. The signs say municpal property no trespassing... I know folks ride back there still... a lot. I wonder want the penalty is?

I am new to posting on this forum, but not so new to forums. Maybe we should get up a hotwings and beer night to meet everyone that is local and on here. Unless that idea has been beat in the ground with no success. I looked on the south thread but all posts were old. Maybe I will spark up a thread to see if any interest...

 

Well the tires aren't cheaper, but they last longer than one weekend.

I am down to do a B'ham Suds n Grub- Meet n Greet! I see a ton of JKs and I'm sure some of those people have to wheel them.

 

I retired 1/1/2011, but that is another story. Enjoying life, with no stress. Start a central Alabama or Jefferson Co. thread. You'll probably get a good response.
