New to the group and JK.
Hello!
I am new to this board and to the JK, but not new to jeeps. I got my fist jeep in 2006, a KJ. Yes, it was a Liberty. My other hobby is photography and I have a back problem. Before the back problem I woud hike most of the time to where I needed to go. But, now with my back problem, and my photo backpack weighs in at 50 lbs, I needed something to get me closer. enter the KJ.
I started modding it up and it was time for me to save and get a llift. KJ have some issues with lifting, so I needed to do it correctly. I was on 29" tires adn figured the safe lift would get mme to 32" tires.
Well, my wife knows I like jeeps in general. I was saving money up before we got mairred for a jeep wrangle (but I don't think they called them wrangles then, but anyhow). I took that saved money and got her wedding ring instead. She always remembered that. She was at the mall and some dealer rented the parking lot to have a memorial day sale. She saw a 2008 2 door Rubicon that had only 1,200 on it. She asked and they told her the guy had to return it becuase his wife said this is not family friendly. She took the KJ with her, and got the JK for 17k. So, in a way she sold the KJ before I lifed it becuase the JK was pretty well loaded and had the 32" tiers I was going to left the KJ for.
It is silver and black, has the 32" BFG mud KO's, lockers, sway dico, nav/mygig, both hard/soft top with the sunrider. The skids, Power Convenience Group, Next Gen. Dana 44 HD Rear Axle, Security Alarm, Performance Suspension and a buch of other stuff.
She said, happy what ever day. I know you been waiting for this type of jeep for 28 years now, and now you have it. I will put pic's up when I get some.
