Hi,

We are Rick and Dottie from Rosamond, CA.

We have had our 2010 Rubicon Unlimited for a little over a month now and I have been lurking on this forum for a while.

We have been wheeling since we bought our 1966 Bronco in 1967 and still can't get enough of it.

We have had the Bronco, a 1989 XJ Cherokee, 1998 TJ Sport (still have it) and now the JK.

We belong to the FMCA 4Wheelers and try to attend as many of their rallies as we can.

We try to do all the work on our vehicles ourselves but decided to buy the upgrades for the JK instead of building them. Still a lot of work.

I like gps technology and have 2 Garmins. I have learned how to make overlay maps of track files and can import them into our Nuvi instead of tracks. Works great.

We have just ordered 35s and Vtec wheels for our JK and hope they work out.

Glad to be on this forum.

Cheers.

Default Welcome!

I thought the nuvi was more for the street than off road. Do you know some secret stuff? I bought one and liked it because the MyGig really isn't good for off road I discovered. How do you tweak your Nuvi for off road use? I use done a couple times and saw it has "offroad" mode but the screen only gave me a strait line to and from. With terrain, once I was away from the line far enough it was gone and I had to zoom out. What's the scoop?
Thanks!
