Hey guys,

First post here, im about to get a new JKU Sport Stick Shift. Definitely have some questions. I have a 2001 Ford Sport Trac right now. It was 4.10 gears, and I'm running 33x12.50r15 Goodyear Duratracs. Now the main question I have is, running the 33s on my Ford tore seals and caused my differential to leak... I don't want this to happen with the JKU and I'm just wondering if I would need to regear with 33's? From what I've seen that's not necessary. But I just want to be sure? (I would have 3.73's in the Jeep).

Also I want to do a coil spacer lift, with new shocks. Do I have anything else that I need to do to keep this a good daily driver but also a capable wheeling rig as well.

Also looking at getting a SmittyBilt stinger... wondering how heavy those are, installation, and how easy it is to wire lights onto it/ into the cab? Also I wouldn't be getting the winch.
Smittybilt Part 76827 - XRC M.O.D. Option - Stinger-RH2

One last thing, I want to get a nice aftermarket exhaust. Under like $400-$500. Any ideas?

Thanks for any help!

1. The new and old JK's handle 33's just fine. I run 33's on 3.21's.
2. Coil or spacer lift you'll be fine either way. You don't need either to run 33's really. Keep it under 2.5" total lift and you won't need to do much else. Run a good lift and the ride will be better than stock.
3. Can't help you with the stinger or the aftermarket exhaust - don't have either.

Thank you! I didn't think I would need a lift to run the 33's but I just want to make sure there isn't any rubbing on/off road.

I run 33's on 3.21's
How is the power?

I won't lie - I wish I had at least 4.10s but the superchips helps. Depending on how wide your 33's are you might rub the front swaybar at full lock. Wheels with proper offset will also help.

I have 12.50's but the wheels that I have have a good offset. I'm not sure what it is but those 33s wouldn't have fit under my ford without the offset

OK - I'm running 33x12.5x15's on mine. Actual diameter works out closer to 31.5 that's why the gearing works ok.

You'll be ok with 3.73 gears and 33s. I run 33x12.5s with a leveling kit and metal bumpers too on 3.21 gears. Power isnt great but I can still use 6th gear on the highway as long as its flat
