Default Looking for trails near Dekalb Illinois

Hello All,
I just joined this form. I got my 2013 wrangler unlimited last August. I am looking to do some off roading. Does anybody know of any trails or groups with private trails near Dekalb Illinois? From what I understand the Cliffs are now closed to Jeeps.
Thank you

Welcome to JKF, Trotzkie! I don't know diddly about Illinois off-roading, but one of the reasons it's helpful when folks identify where they are from (city and state unless it's obvious) is because then you can message them to ask a relevant question if you see someone from nearby. :-)

The Cliffs where the only thing I knew of up there. That place sucked for jeeps anyway as it was too tight and really pretty small in terms of terrain. Badlands is going to be a decent drive for you as well as Redbird, both in Indiana. I have heard that badlands has eliminated some of the more challenging trails but it is a place that will give you sand dunes, mud bogs, wooded trails, and rock crawling. They have rental cabins now as well as a camping area if you want to make a weekend out of it. Redbird is mainly just wooded trails but has a decent amount of area to runn around in.
