Default howdy from Texas!!!

Howdy y'all!!!! I'm new to the site. My name is Ray and I live in a small town just southeast of San Antonio, Tx. called Floresville. I'm 35 yrs old and is a full-time student. I don't have a JK yet but I will be shopping for one this week. Maybe y'all can give me some advice. I'm fairly new to 4x4 and not sure which would be better for me, for sure it will be a 2 dr automatic but I'm still on the fence as to pick a Rubicon or an X model. For the most part I would probably use the Jeep for mild off-roading, camping, fishing, and driving on sand and mud. Oh and this will be my daily driver. Thanks!!!!

Welcome Dangermouse! (cool name).
If you haven't picked yet - you already know you got to do what the budget allows. If you price an X with the goodies you want take you near the price of a Rubi - you might seriously consider the Rubi (popularity, resale, and especially the 4:10 gearing if you don't option out the X accordingly).
Let us know what you get - and post some pictures!

PS - are there still 2008's on the lot that haven't sold? I'll bet they are quite the bargain now!

Well, when you take it offroad for the first time, you will no longer be "mild offroading". You will be hooked. Good luck with the search and welcome to the forum.
