Houston, we have a new JK owner
I've always wanted a jeep & after owning ford trucks over 25+years I broke down and bought me a blue steel X unlimited 4door. It's the standard "S" package with tow package, 378watt sound do hicky, step runner, 17" allow rims similiar to the rubican, hard top, and the usual stuff. It was the 4 door that got me to switch over since I have two boys, 3yrs & 8months. I'm here in Houston and in outside sales so I do alot of driving. I'm also a hunter and love to fish the surf so I had to have 4x4. I've had my jeep little over a month and love it. The wind/road noise is tolerable and not to bad on long trips, just a blast to drive.
What I want? I'd be happy with 33" tires not totally sold on a lift yet, I'm concerned about it's impact on the powertrain warranty. I realy want the congo cage and bars for ladders, lumbers, and stuff and the safari basket would be great for duck decoys or small duck boat. Down the road I would like to replace bumbers & factory nerf bar dodad.
