Default Hello from Va

I want to introduce myself. Im new to this forum and to Jeeps. I had a 2001 Dodge 1500 Extended cab 4x4. I loved it but got tired of replacing or fixing things everytime I had the oil changed. So, oneday on the way home from work I saw the coolest jeep I had ever seen. I test drove then bought it. It is a 2009 JK 4dr that the dealer lifted and put Mickey rims and tires on it. I drive 70 miles round trip everyday and figured it was cheaper to save the Mickeys so I replaced them with the same size Yokohamas. Ive reprogramed the computer and put a K&N on it.

The irony is that I was in Utah the week of Easter and wanted to go to Canyonlands, but didnt. Hell, I did not even know about this jeep. It was not until I got back to Va that I saw it. Then I started looking for groups. I saw a bunch of videos from the Moab runs and thought, dammit thats where I want to be next year.

I have read a lot of post about the 3.8, and I find I really like it; however I have not gone off road yet. I do like it. If I want to go fast, I take the Vette out, but thats another story. Anyway, I love it and I get looks everytime I take it out. My goal is to drive it back out for Easter next year, but for now I would like to find someplace around here to play. Some folks say take ot to Nags Head, but Ive been there, do it and have the T-shirt.

I hope these pics work
