Default Hello from Spain

Hi, Justa arrived. Still haven't got a JK (It's not for for sale here. It will be in a pair of months)

I've been driving Land Rovers for years, but they have become really expensive SUV, not really offroadres.
I plan to sell my 2000 Defender 110 and purchase a 2.8CRD Unlimited Rubicon.
This is (still) my DEfender:

I plan to use my Hannibal roof tent in the Jeep with a roof rack, until the AEV camper shell is for sale:

Yes, the car was white and I painted it zambezy grey. That's my wife, and we were cooking in the rear door, somewhere in Scotland...

The Defender for this year costs 35.000 euros has a 2,4 diesel engine (122 hp) from a Ford van, no airbags, no roll cage, optional ABS, ETC, optional aircon, no lockers.
With estimated same cost, I get a 2.8 CRD 177 hp unlimited Rubicon, hard top, manual 6 speed,

Packing the defender with aircon, ABS/ETC safety devices roll cage, ARB lockers.... costs more than 7-8000 euros, and that's a lot of money... and still has a small engine.

Well, hope to ask a lot of things about the jk... and sorry for my awful english...

You can't order a CRD jk??
mmm, same engine and gearbox than the Liberty, I think, and there are CRD Liberty isn't it?

I suppose that Jeep will sell it there, perhaps after selling it here en Europe..

Nope, we can't order the CRD JK yet, but hopefully in the future. We did have a CRD liberty, but they stopped selling it here because of new Emission standards. I've heard there is a new CRD liberty coming in the future as well. Nice Defender by the way, i've always liked those, but love my Jeep Wranglers too much to drive anything else.

Hello from the UK

I've just ordered our 2.8crd unlimited sahara, should be here in a couple of months.

We will be driving it to France and Spain this summer, probably the alps and then down to Andalucia, should be great with the top off.

Are Jeep Europe going to do the CRD rubicon 4 door? The only rubi available in the UK is the 2door.

Should be a nice unit, 174bhp, 300lb torque, looking forward to it

Yeah seriously. We have people from France, UAE, the UK, Australia, and now Spain. We just need people from Africa, S. America, and Antartica.

Welcome to the form ensafer, and congrats on deciding to join the Jeep family.
