Default Hello from Oz

Hi everyone, I've already made a few posts but never really introduced myself properly. Originally from the UK, I've always enjoyed driving and cars in general but being from Manchester there wasn't too many opportunities to go off-road without a long drive. It just didn't make sense so I had a series of sensible cars (boring !!). I came to Australia as I met and fell in love with an Aussie chick, we married and decided to live in Oz together. Where I live in Port Macquarie we are surrounded by beautiful national parks and vast areas of heavily forested areas that were once logged. This means tracks everywhere, thousands of miles of beautfully rutted, uneven, dirt and rock tracks taking you through some beautiful scenery. The wife and I had decided that we would start camping so we decided to look at 4wds. I've always had a love affair with jeeps but never thought my wife would consider one. We don't have kids so when we test drove a wrangler, low and behold she too fell in love with this icon. We've not looked back since, we both love the JK. I'm looking at it right now whilst I type this in the office where I work and boy it looks the business. I dry it off road every weekend and love the confidence it gives you. It's solid and incredibly capable. In the same way that a ferrari looks like it was always meant to be travelling fast, the jeep always looks like it should be climbing over a mountain. I can't imagine ever driving anything else, except maybe a 4 door unlimited
