This site is great guys, I cant stop reading everything on it. I just ordered a black 2008 X. Unfortunately I have to wait 6-8 weeks for it. It will probably be the longest 6-8 weeks of my life...Are there many Canadians on this site?

You guys have it great in Quebec, you don't have to have a license plate on the front of your car...thats sweet. Does anyone know what a soft top will be like in a Ottawa winter?...I'm a little bit worried because i didn't get a hard top. And it gets really cold here.

 

your windows will crack, the weight of the snow will tear your soft top and bend the hardware, snow will eventually get into the dash, melt and fry all your electronics, and void your warranty

you'll be fine, just be extra gentle with the windows when it's really cold and don't leave a foot of snow on the roof.

 

hey another ottawa native well gatineau...same thing. What garage or store do you get all your extra equipment for your jeep?

 

bought bumper, tires, rims & winch online from one of the JK forum sponsors, got it shipped to UPS store in Odgenburg NY, drove one hour, cross the border pick up my parts, back to Canada, show my invoice to the nice custom officer
( paid only 1 tax cause I crossed in Ont but live in Qc) total saving : $1200

want to know where I got the parts installed? PM me, a good friend of mine owns a garage in Ottawa, does great work and have really good price.
