Default Hello from Ontario, Canada!

Hi All,

Just stopping by to say hello, and to ask a quick question.

Last Friday, I took the plunge and bought my first Jeep. It's a 2008 Sahara 6-speed pretty much loaded. Rescue Green. I've always wanted a Jeep, and a big part of that came from looking at all the pictures I've seen over the years of customized and modified Jeeps. I'm coming from an Audi S4. It's a big, big difference (on my wallet too!) but believe it or not, I'm happier with the Jeep after only one week. I've already performed one mod: the Flexatrunk.

I'm interested in putting a lift on the Jeep. Since most of my driving will be highway, I've come to the conclusion that the OME lifts look to be the best option for me. That comes from research here and talking to friends who are religious Jeep owners. I will be ordering that kit next week.

That said, I would like to start exploring offroading as well, and I'd like a more agressive looking tire on my new Jeep. My initial conclusion was the BFG A/T KO's (I was thinking 285/65/18 with my stock wheels), but I'm not sure how good it will look lifted with 33" and the stock wheels. I can't seem to locate many pictures either with the setup I'm considering.

I like the look of the Mickey Thompson ATZ, but can't find many reviews on their highway performance.

Any comments? Or other suggestions? I'd love to go to a 35" tire, but since this is mostly highway, am concerned about fuel consumption as well as regearing. Maybe a Mickey 275/70/18 is a good compromise, as it's a bit bigger than the BFG 285/65/18?

Any concerns about rubbing with the 33"s?

Thanks in advance for your help, and look forward to participating here!
