Hello from missouri
Hello, my name is William........and I love Jeeps. I love Jeeps, but more than definatly not in a Taboo, I hump my exhaust kind of way. More of a, "I don't know why the hell I waited 29 years to purchase my first Jeep" kind of way. I've had friends that own Jeeps, and I've been on numerous meets and runs with friends, but I've never owned my own.
You see, I'm from Brooklyn NY and there aren't many trails to ride. I joined the military and relocated numerous times. Some places had trails, others hadn't. I always kicked myself in the nuts when I was at those opportune places, and could never let my sack drop, and let my chances pass. Now I'm in Missouri. Where I'm stationed has an appropriate alias, "Fort Lost-in-the-Woods". November 27th, 2010 is the day I finally made the jump, and made the decision to change my life forever. I bought my first Jeep. A beautiful Stone-White 2010 Wrangler unlimited. I love this forum for the write ups and descriptions. Also for the shared expertise. I hope I'm welcomed in the community, and hoe to meet you on a trail one day. Until then, ride safe and have fun, because I'm having a blast!!!
Thank you for taking time to read.

I just wanted to thank everyone for the support for military service. It's a value that our country has lost. A lot of Veteran's have been forgotten, as American's as a whole have become too self-centered, and less caring for the fellow citizen. I appreciate the thank you's. I really do. I maintain my Active Duty Status for people like you. The one's who still love their country for what it is, and understand and support the military for what we do.
As far as location, I'm located in Pulaski Country, inbetween Waynesville and St. Robert area. In a vast and void space called "Fort Leonard Wood". Are you close to me?

I used to be close. Lived at the Lake of the Ozarks for a while, then down in Springfield. Now I'm up by Kansas City on the Kansas side. But I have heard that there are some good places down in your area to wheel. Good luck and have fun!

Welcome to the area! Let me know if want to go riding at smor. I am about 25 mins away from smorr. You might be experiencing some culture shock but you are only an hour and half to Springfield. Yet it's like the biggest small town there is if that makes since.

Welcome.
Your are in a really cool location to have the jeep. If you head north on 44 and get off at the highway J exit and head east you will fond all kinds of logging roads. Or head ou the back exit of the fort and make a right, up the hill on J and you are in the heart of Mark Twain National Forest.
When you exit the back exit of the fort you come out at "crossroads". The Big Piney and the Spring Creek meet right there. Absolute great smallmouth fishing.
Look up Duke, MO......all kinds of wheeling roads. Just be aware if you put any tires into a missouri river you get fined per wheel.
If you want to give me a call I can tell you more about where to go.
