hello From Michigan
Just purchased a very clean bone stock 08 JK, X for my wife. The struggle now is to convince her it needs modification. I have been doing a lot of reading and no commenting, lots of great information in this Forum.

Welcome from traverse city. The blessing of the jeeps is the 30th in mesick. There is anything from rusty garbage to wild and crazy jeeps. I'm sure she could find something the wants to put on the jeep here. Plus you all will learn how to navigate obstacles. It's a pretty good time.

Welcome to the forum and congratulations to your wife on owning a beautiful JK! Hope she lets you drive it!
Would be great, if you can share some pictures of your Jeep with us. What upgrades exactly are you planning to do to it by the way?

Hello Carid,
The wife think the JK is "Perfect" but my son and I know better. I would like to get the following done in this order over the next year:
Into the body shop to fix a few small chips that are full thickness of the paint & starting to rust
JK Trektop, in June for her birthday
Rugged Ridge Rock Sliders for looks, and protection (I like the simple installation) before fall
TerraFlex 2.5 inch coil spring lift and Fox Shocks, Spring of 2017
33 or 35 inch tires, after the lift goes in. Currently like the look of the General Grabber, but need to research that.
Next would be Bumpers front and back and a TerraFlex Spare Tire Rack.
Eventually a good Winch because I believe they are great insurance.
She drives 3 miles round trip to work and the Jeep will only see moderate to light trail use, forestry roads and designated ORV Trails.
Going to take it slow do to costs and easing her into change. My son has been working on her, telling her how the wider tires and improved suspension will make the Jeep handle better. After all were aren't "Lifting" the Jeep just giving it better springs and shocks. The first step is getting her out of the hard Top and into the sporty looking Trektop for the summer.
If anyone has any comments or suggestions about those products or something you think is better I would like to hear about them.
